Easy listing, slow support

I listed my 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air as a private seller. The listing process itself was pretty smooth and intuitive; I got it set up in about an hour. The pricing seemed fair for reaching a specific audience. However, I had a small question about editing my photos after the fact, and customer service took a couple of days to get back to me. The car did sell eventually, so it worked out, but quicker support would have been better.

Found a cool vintage truck

I was just browsing around, you know, for fun, and ended up finding a really cool vintage Ford truck on there. The pictures were good and the description was clear. Contacted the seller pretty easily. It all felt pretty straightforward, which is nice. Overall, it was a good experience finding what I was looking for without much fuss.

Good listing experience

Listed my 1969 Mustang Fastback. Process was quick. Got some good interest fast. Site is easy to use for sellers. Satisfied with the results.

Is this site actually legit for selling? I've heard good things but also some scam warnings about classic car sites generally.

K Karen L. 3 weeks ago
It's legit. Been around forever and it's huge. Just be smart like on any platform, vet buyers and don't fall for weird payment schemes. They have guides on spotting scams too.

Yeah, it's totally real. They're like the biggest. Just make sure you understand how to protect yourself when dealing with potential buyers, the site itself is trustworthy though.

I'm looking at a car listed in Phoenix, AZ. If I buy it, does this site help arrange transport at all, or am I on my own?

J Jason W. 6 days ago
They actually do offer transport services! I saw it mentioned somewhere on their site when I was listing my car. You'd probably have to arrange it through them, not like they just magically deliver it.

Yeah, I think they link up with transport companies. It's an extra service you can use, not included with the car itself though, you gotta pay for it separately.

trying to decide between listing my Cuda here or maybe on Hemmings. Anyone used both and have a preference for getting more eyeballs?

N Nancy Moore 3 weeks ago
I'd say ClassicCars.com gets way more traffic, especially globally. Hemmings is good too but maybe a bit more niche. Depends on your car, but for a Cuda, you want max exposure.

Both are solid but I sold a project car way faster here than I expected. For a high-demand car like a Cuda, this place is probably better for reaching the most buyers. Bring a Trailer is another option but that's auction style.

Thinking of selling multiple cars. Do they have any kind of discount if you list more than one at a time?

R Rachel Hall 6 days ago
They do sometimes have 'bundle listing deals' or 'multiple car discounts'. It's not always advertised front and center, but keep an eye out for those during checkout or in their newsletters.

Yeah, I think I saw something like that once. Maybe a slight discount on the total listing fee if you do several. Worth checking their seller info or contact them.

What's the deal with featured listings vs. standard? Is it really worth the extra cash to go 'featured'?

J Josh Sanchez 4 weeks ago
For sure. Featured listings get way more views, they put them on the homepage and in prime spots. My last car sold much faster after I upgraded it.

D Danielle Ramirez 3 weeks ago
It depends on your car, but for something special, absolutely. It puts your car in front of a lot more eyes, especially serious buyers who are browsing those sections. Standard listings can get buried.
